My heart is shattering

The demon to which I cling

Made me lose the angel I so needed

The angel came to know of the demon

That to through my own words

And as I saw the angel retreat 

I knew I had lost all that had meaning

In this apathetic mortality

Simply for what I wanted but never ever needed

The one that could have saved me

Was made wretched by my idiocy

But I vow to redeem this angel to the heavens

And redeem myself to this angel

The only one I could ever love
